Time for EXTREMELY PERSONAL ANGSTY MOMENTS WITH TRIV!
When I was in high school, I was sexually assaulted. I’m not saying this for sympathy, it’s just a fact. It caused night terrors, personal anxiety, all kinds of nasty stuff. I went to see a therapist not long ago to help with it. In one of the sessions, I was instructed to close my eyes, and use my imagination to turn my attacker into a bug, but it didn’t really help, since I already saw him as less than a human being.
She then told me to picture my friends, or some protectors behind me. Warriors so strong that no one would ever think to lay a hand on me again. Almost instantly, my 4 main leading ladies were behind me, Lmai (the privateer), Raide (vampire), Orphie (knight), and Keira (zombie apocalypse survivor/soldier). I’d never felt stronger. I’d never felt safer, at that time. I felt like I could take on 10 of my attackers, without breaking a sweat.
Our characters are very powerful tools. Yeah, we use them to entertain ourselves. They give us all kinds of feels. But they can also help us.

Well after that joyous event of finding out that someone basically raped her concept all over some forums, (I mean seriously, who does that?) then spit on her for good measure, I decided I was going to do her right and finally finish the cosplay of her that I’ve been working on slowly for like… 5 years. Sorry Lmai.
Actually, sorry Josh because I mighta sorta kinda clicked the wrong button, and then Amazon is now sending me them. The GOOD news is that they’ll be here before the Renaissance fair in Escondido. The BAD news however is that it’s rounding out at about 60 bucks… so there’s that. But I mean, hey, it’s kinda harder than you’d think to get a costume that can be easily modified to look like the design I had for her, which was based on this lovely piece by the deviant Akuhen.

I add again: LOOSELY. There’s no fur on her boots, she wears bracers and only does magic in certain storylines, but all in all it’s basically the same. Anyway, the point is, baby I’m sorry and I’ll be less trigger happy with my mouse clicky finger next time and please don’t kill me aaaaaauuuuuggggghhh *runs down the hallway and flops on the bed*
